We started a tree planting project
Evergreen recycling not only protects the environment through waste recycling and education: it has started a major greening project at its own site, in which the team planted hundreds of plants.
We believe that the environment in which we work and in which we spend a significant part of our days should not only be practical, but also beautiful and pleasant. Not to mention that with sustainability and environmental protection on our flag, every single member of our team is passionate about giving back to our planet as much as possible. One simple and rewarding way to do this is to plant trees, which is easy to do even at the level of individual people. So, on a pleasant May day, we grabbed spades and gloves and started a greening project at the site as a kind of community event. Everyone played their part, so we planted more than 200 trees and bushes.
The idea of landscaping has been planned for some time, but the construction of the site has so far occupied all available capacity. However, a continuation is already planned, as plants, in addition to adding a lot to the overall picture of the facility from an aesthetic point of view, will also play an important role due to their environmental impact. The huge flat area of the waste processing plant is often very windy, so natural “windbreaks” will come in handy. At the same time, even a smaller, barely five-meter tree can produce nearly ten thousand litres of oxygen annually, so by planting each tree, we make a great contribution to keeping the Earth’s “green lungs” healthy.
